All contracts concluded via the website vadalarm.hu shall be governed by Hungarian law, excluding the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG) as well as the conflict-of-law rules of private international law.
This choice of law shall not result in depriving the consumer of the protection afforded by the mandatory consumer protection provisions of the country of their habitual residence in accordance with Article 6(2) of Regulation (EC) No 593/2008 (Rome I).

These GTC apply to distance sales contracts concluded between Nowton Kft. and consumers, as well as – where applicable – subscription agreements.
Consumer means a natural person acting outside their trade, business or professional activity.
These GTC are effective as of 04 March 2026.
The Service Provider is entitled to amend these GTC. Amendments shall apply to contracts concluded after publication. Existing contracts remain unaffected unless otherwise required by law.
The content available on the webshop website is the intellectual property of Nowton Kft. and is protected by copyright.
The webshop is available 24 hours a day; however, temporary interruptions may occur due to maintenance, technical failures, or other technical reasons.
Products can be ordered online through the webshop operated by Nowton Kft. The indicated prices include the applicable VAT.
Products cannot be purchased through permanent in-person sales. Exceptions include occasional events, exhibitions, and trade fairs organized or attended by the Service Provider, where products may also be purchased in person. These occasions are temporary and do not constitute permanent points of sale.
In the webshop, Nowton Kft. displays the product name, description, and photograph. Images shown on product pages may be illustrative; the actual product may differ slightly.
If a promotional price is introduced, the reference price shall be the lowest price applied to the product within the 30 days preceding the price reduction in accordance with Directive (EU) 2019/2161. If the product has been available for less than 30 days, the first applied price shall serve as the reference price.
The webshop also allows the initiation of subscription services and the purchase of one-time paid services.
The products displayed in the webshop do not constitute binding offers.
Selecting a product and placing it in the cart does not constitute a binding offer.
The contents of the cart may be modified at any time prior to finalizing the order.
The order is submitted by pressing the “Purchase” button.
By pressing this button, the consumer submits a binding offer to conclude a contract.
The Service Provider confirms the order electronically. The contract is concluded upon confirmation.
If the confirmation is not received within 48 hours of submitting the order, the consumer shall be released from their offer.
Ownership of the product remains with the Service Provider until full payment has been made. The risk passes to the consumer upon delivery of the product.
The contract text is stored electronically by the Service Provider.
The order details and essential elements of the contract are included in the confirmation email. The consumer is responsible for retaining this document.
The final amount of shipping costs may vary depending on the weight, size of the parcel, and destination country. If, due to the characteristics of the ordered product(s), the actual shipping costs exceed the amount indicated in the cart, Nowton Kft. shall inform the Customer in advance using the provided contact details. The order shall only be fulfilled following the Customer’s explicit approval; in the absence of such approval, the Customer is entitled to withdraw from the order. After the contract has been concluded, the shipping fee may not be modified unilaterally.
The general delivery period is a maximum of 10 working days. In the case of advance payment, the period shall be calculated from the receipt of payment.
If the product is unavailable, the Service Provider shall inform the consumer without delay and refund any amounts already paid without undue delay.
If the Customer does not accept a prepaid order and does not exercise the 14-day right of withdrawal, the Service Provider shall be entitled to deduct from the refundable amount the actual and demonstrably incurred shipping and return costs resulting from the breach of contract. In the event of a lawful withdrawal, the provisions relating to the right of withdrawal shall apply.
If delivery fails due to reasons attributable to the consumer and the consumer requests redelivery, the Service Provider shall be entitled to charge the actual shipping costs again.
The consumer is entitled to a 14-day right of withdrawal without providing any reason in accordance with Directive 2011/83/EU.
The right of withdrawal may be exercised in the Customer’s user account under the “Products” menu by clicking the “Return” button, which shall constitute a clear statement of withdrawal. If the user account is not accessible for technical reasons, the Customer may also exercise the right of withdrawal by sending a clear statement to info@vadalarm.hu.
In the event of withdrawal, the consumer must return the product within 14 days.
Following receipt of the returned parcel, the webshop shall refund the full amount without delay and no later than 14 days, using the same payment method chosen by the Customer unless otherwise requested (e.g., refund of a cash-on-delivery order via bank transfer).
The direct cost of returning the product shall be borne by the consumer.
The consumer shall only be liable for any diminished value resulting from handling beyond what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics, and functioning of the product.
In the event of withdrawal, the Service Provider shall refund the purchase price and the cost of the cheapest standard delivery method.
The consumer is responsible for proper packaging of the returned product. The risk of return remains with the consumer until the product is received by the Service Provider.

In addition to the statutory right of withdrawal, the Service Provider provides an additional voluntary 14-day money-back guarantee.
Under this voluntary guarantee, the refund may be reduced proportionally to reflect diminished value resulting from use beyond necessary testing.
The voluntary guarantee does not affect the mandatory statutory rights of the consumer.
The consumer is entitled to a 2-year statutory conformity warranty under Directive (EU) 2019/771, except where the defect arose after performance.
Warranty and guarantee claims may be initiated through the website. By logging into their customer account under the “Your Products” menu and using the available defect reporting function, the Customer may initiate the service procedure.
Nowton Kft. strives to complete repairs or replacements within 15 working days. If this period is exceeded, the Service Provider shall provide information on the expected duration of the repair no later than the 15th day.
In connection with returns for service purposes, Nowton Kft. reimburses the cost of the usual cheapest shipping method. Any additional costs (e.g., priority shipment, declared value, or other surcharges) shall be borne by the Customer.
If the Customer requests reimbursement of shipping costs, an invoice must be issued in the name of Nowton Kft. (EU VAT number: HU27977752; Registered office: 1132 Budapest, Visegrádi utca 40., Hungary) and sent scanned or by post to info@vadalarm.hu.
If no defect is identified during inspection, meaning that the consumer asserted an unfounded conformity claim, the justified and proportionate inspection costs, as well as inbound and return shipping costs, may be charged to the consumer.
Nowton Kft. shall not be liable for damage caused by animals. Customers are fully informed prior to ordering that products intended to reduce damage caused by animals may not always prevent further damage; their primary purpose is mitigation.
Subscription services of Nowton Kft. are processed with the assistance of Barion Payment Zrt. Therefore, the name Barion Payment Zrt. will appear on the Customer’s bank statement when monthly or annual fees are charged.
Subscription fees are charged using a recurring payment solution to the Customer’s bank card; transactions are automatically executed until the card or authorization expires or the service is cancelled.
Regular subscription fees are displayed on the order interface and in the cart.
The subscription fee may be modified annually by no more than the consumer price index of the previous year as published by the Hungarian Central Statistical Office (KSH).
New fee = previous fee × (1 + inflation rate)
Customers shall be notified at least 30 days prior to the modification.
In the event of a price increase, the consumer is entitled to terminate the subscription by extraordinary termination before the effective date.
Subscription cancellation may be initiated in the Customer’s user account under the “Your Subscriptions” menu by clicking the “Cancel” button, which constitutes a clear declaration of cancellation. If the user account is not accessible for technical reasons, cancellation may also be initiated by sending a clear written statement to info@vadalarm.hu. Thereafter, the next periodic fee shall not be charged. In the case of withdrawal from a subscription service, the Customer may not claim reimbursement of amounts already paid in advance if Nowton Kft. has fulfilled its obligations specified in the product description during the relevant period.

The Service Provider shall respond to written complaints within 30 days.
Nowton Kft. is not obliged by law to participate in alternative dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer dispute resolution body. Nevertheless, it may decide on participation on a case-by-case basis.
